Civil Contractor - Roads, Bridges, Drainage, Concrete Structures, Earthworks

About us

We provide Civil Contracting and Project Management services for government, mining and resource sector clients, working on public and private infrastructure projects. Our Engineers and Project Managers have 40 years of combined experience in government and mining infrastructure. Unlike other civil engineering contractors, we offer blue-chip project management and quality assurance systems as well as local knowledge. This gives clients a powerful point of difference, with in-house capabilities ensuring streamlined project delivery. Based in south-west Queensland, we have successfully completed projects across most of regional Queensland and northern NSW, including remote areas. Our project planning philosophy is based on developing a comprehensive project delivery strategy that ensures key project risks and opportunities are captured prior to any works commencing. Unlike our competitors, we invest heavily in the evaluation of each project from all angles in order to guarantee value for money for our Client. Each project delivery strategy is developed through meticulous methodology development, extensive local supplier evaluation and proactive construction planning resulting in innovative construction solutions for even the most complex infrastructure projects.

Site 5 of 6 for the ongoing landslip remediation project for City of Moreton Bay looks a bit different to the others. At Traves Court, Delaney's Creek, the team have removed approximately 750m3 of failed material and created the aesthetically pleasing benches and suitable working platform for Rutledge Drilling to drill and install 400m of vertical and raked micropiles. A concrete header beam, rock fill replacement and pavement reconstruction will complete the landslip remediation for this site.

The Gympie DFRA All Stars! We are currently completing 4 out of the 6 external DFRA works packages within the Gympie region. We have 10 crews currently working across the entire Gympie Regional Council covering a 6,884 km2 area with approximately 7,450 damage sites as well as 3 landslip projects. The first package is expected to be fully complete 3 months ahead of schedule and remaining packages still on track to be completed within schedule despite the recent wet weather experienced in the region. A big thank you to all of you who are working tirelessly to complete these works with and alongside Durack. It’s one hell of an All Star team to say the least. After some wet weeks around Easter delaying commencement on site, the team are excited to break ground and get started on two close together landslip sites on Gregors Creek Road for Somerset Regional Council. With the Brisbane River cutting off access to the bottom of the slope, long reach excavators, large cranes and careful planning are required to complete the slope stabilisation works from the road level.
