Final year students networked with our partners Casey Blay, Jon Cooper and Felicity Zheng while learning the ins and outs of upper limb injury management and the rewarding career paths available. It was great to see so many motivated physiotherapy and occupational therapy students asking questions about the industry and how to kickstart their careers. Meet Occupational Therapist and Richmond fan Jonathan Stakos. Once touted as a future tennis star at age 9 in Melbourne Weekly magazine, his true calling unfolded during his final clinical placement at university. Intrigued by the intricacies of the upper limb, he discovered a newfound interest in hand therapy after witnessing its profound ability to restore function to those suffering from an injury. Based at the Epping, Heidelberg Martin St and Heidelberg Mount St clinics, Jonathan enjoys supporting patients with their upper limb injuries by developing tailored rehabilitation programs so they can return to the things they love.
