Today at the Wagga Wagga Country Club, we had the privilege of attending the Riverina Eastern Regional Organisation of Councils (REROC) conference. The theme? Disaster management and recovery systems, with a special focus on connectivity. Together with our partners from Telstra, we showcased our remote technology solutions. At our interactive display, we highlighted our field management systems, showing off Ericom’s very own head office complete with our remote-controlled sprinklers and floodlights. We also guided REROC conference guests through our smart waste management system, which tackles both physical waste and environmental issues. The 8th Annual Future Justice and Corrections Summit was held this week, and Ericom was honoured to join Telstra’s Rob Colla and 120 delegates from across Australia and New Zealand. This year the summit focused on delivering better outcomes for individuals in custody through reform, rehabilitation, and improved facilities. Our CEO, Kyle Page, joined the discussion by presenting the impacts of digital tablets on correctional centre safety and order.   At our booth, Murat Aydemir and Matt Redpath gave attendees a sneak peek of our cutting-edge vital sign detection radar and showcased our tablets explicitly designed for messaging, communication, and learning management systems. Our remarkable colleague Simone Kylstra has fearlessly shaved her head to support the Leukaemia Foundation with the World’s Greatest Shave. Her heartfelt speech reminded us that there are countless ways to make a difference. But for Simone, shedding her locks was more than a charitable act; it was a step toward reducing the stigma faced by hair loss in women. There was also a shout-out to those who supported her efforts, and we’re thrilled to announce that during the lead-up to the big event, Simone achieved her fundraising goal of $5,000! But that’s not all! Much of Simone’s hair will be transformed into wigs, and the leftover strands? They’ll be used to create sponges that absorb oil in our oceans—a small yet impactful contribution to environmental sustainability. Our very own Andy Hurt and Kyle Page kicked off the event with a warm welcome, highlighting innovations that our partnerships can fuel.    The day's theme was to build long-term connections that can be used to tackle future projects, all while enjoying fantastic food and tunes played by the sensational Baker Boys. Yesterday was an unforgettable adventure on the Sydney Harbour, aboard the Spirit of Migloo with our friends Telstra, Dicker Data, and Fortinet. Despite the blazing sun, which had us incorporating shorts into our dress code, we were able to spend the day enjoying the views, food, and entertainment.
