20 years in business probably deserves it's only festival - however we took a more humble approach in the weekly Town Hall in our Melbourne office this morning.   A speech, a video, croissants and cake and some Six Degrees Executive trivia. No surprise that there are plenty of stories over 20 years, and this morning alone there were more than a few laughs - but mainly a huge amount of pride and gratitude to Nick Hindhaugh, Paul Hallam and David Braham as we mark the official 20 year anniversary of Six Degrees tomorrow - the 30th April!   Life and career are absolutely about knowing the moments where you should "put the big boots on" and make brave moves. Three fresh faced 30 something year olds certainly did that way back then - and it well and truly paid off.   Starting a business is one thing, growing it over 20 years through all the phases and stages and cycles, ups and downs of agency recruitment to thrive as it does today - is an incredible achievement.   Six Degrees is a business and brand to be proud of. We have helped countless candidates over 2 decades to find great jobs, we have built enduring and meaningful relationships with countless clients and placed thousands of roles. Knowing these guys as I well as I now do after so many years working side by side - I'd say amid all of the business milestones and achievements they have amassed, I have no doubt they would say that what they are most proud of is the impact SDE has made on the people who have worked here.   Six Degrees has shaped the lives of many of its employees in a really meaningful and positive way. Some of these team members have gone on to do other things, but many are still here after more than a decade (and in some cases nearly 2 decades) still loving the business, the culture and their work.   That is certainly true of me. I am very proud and consider myself very lucky to have built a great life for myself and my family over the past 14 years - a life Six Degrees, and it's Founders has contributed to significantly.   Congratulations on 20 years Nick, Paul and David. Very excited to announce I started in my new role of Director Queensland for Six Degrees Executive earlier this month. From helping launch the Queensland business 7.5 years ago to the business we are today, there have been many highlights, none more though than being offered the opportunity to lead the Queensland business. Thank you to all those who have helped along the way and especially Kristan De Sousa (she/her) who has been there every step of the way!
