Thanks to everyone who submitted their opinions on our recent brand emotion poll! The results were very interesting and include some key insights into emotional branding for those who voted: - Trust (67%): Trust is essential. It ensures brands deliver on their promises, fostering long-term loyalty and driving word-of-mouth recommendations. - Joy (17%): Joy creates positive experiences and happiness, forming strong, favourable associations. Brands that inspire joy are seen as fun and engaging, fostering a passionate and loyal customer base. - Nostalgia (11%): Nostalgia taps into fond memories, creating deep emotional connections. Brands that evoke nostalgia offer comfort and familiarity, resonating strongly with consumers. - Belonging (6%): Belonging reflects the desire to be part of a community. While crucial, it appears less impactful than trust, joy, and nostalgia in our poll. Brands that foster belonging build strong communities and loyal customers, though this may be more niche. These results highlight trust as the cornerstone of brand loyalty yet there are also so many other emotions that brands can use to connect to their audience. We loved conducting this pole; emotional connection is our JAM and without emotion then a brand is just a logo 💛
JAM is driven by the power of emotional branding. Whether it's a charity invoking empathy, a pharmaceutical company cultivating trust, or an FMCG brand sparking joy or nostalgia, each brand chooses a core emotion to resonate deeply with its audience. From a sense of belonging to an array of other emotions, the spectrum is vast and varied. What emotion strikes a chord with you? Share with us!
