About us

Little Scholars genuinely believes in making a difference and recognises the incredible opportunities we have with every child, every day. We were founded and are owned and managed by a qualified teacher with a genuine passion for children and the early years. Our first priority is the growth and development of your child; we nurture, teach and guide your child to developing all the skills that will allow them to succeed in life. It’s an approach that recognises how critical those first five years are for a child’s development, and ensures your child gets all the support they need to flourish during this time. We embrace everything from the natural environment to digital technologies as important educational tools, instilling a contemporary, sustainable and values-driven learning foundation in every curious little mind for whom we have the honour of caring. We strive to make lasting memories every day.

  • Little Scholars welcomed some international early learning experts recently! A delegation of seven directors from leading Chinese early education services, as part of the Beijing Early Learning Education Alliance, took a tour of our Yatala campus and get an understanding of our operations, campuses and programs. Little Scholars was one of seven early learning facilities the group visited across Australia and New Zealand. Because our founder Jae Fraser is also vice-president of Australian Childcare Alliance Queensland Inc, the delegates were keen to pick his brain and exchange information on children’s learning and development, Australian childcare services and pave the way for future collaboration opportunities. China faces low-birth rates, which is a huge challenge for kindergarten investors, according to Ivy Wang, who led the tour. The delegation wanted to learn various education philosophies and the diversity of education, and bring back with them ideas on how to improve their early childhood education and communication with families. While China's early learning facilities are world class, the Australia-NZ tour gave the group ideas on how to improve software such as teacher training and management. According to Ms Wang, the leading directors were impressed by the dedication and passion that Little Scholars has for providing quality education to young minds. "Cultivating global partnerships in early childhood education is essential for fostering innovation and best practice. It was an honour to welcome the Beijing Early Learning Education Alliance delegation to our Little Scholars Yatala campus, Jae said. "Our exchange of insights, experiences, and visions for children's learning and development underscores the importance of collaboration in shaping the future of early education. It was also a wonderful opportunity for our educators to showcase their curriculum and environments. Ms Wang said the group had a lot to take back from its tour of our Yatala campus. "The tour provided us with valuable insights into your educational practices and philosophies, which are beneficial to upgrade our philosophy and better communicate with our parents," Ivy added. "We were particularly impressed by the innovative teaching methods and the focus on student-led philosophy. It is a wonderful opportunity to learn the diversity of education and communicate with the peers in different countries." Little Scholars looks forward to continuing this dialogue and exploring opportunities for meaningful collaboration that enrich the lives of young learners on an international scale.

  • Did you know?! According to Australian guidelines, children aged 1 year up to 3 years should have at least 3 hours of energetic play each day, and children aged 3 years up to 5 years should be physically active for at least 3 hours each day, including one hour of energetic play! 🤸♂️ Getting little bodies moving every day is so important for children's overall health and wellbeing, and it sets them up to maintain an active lifestyle for their entire lives! Little Scholars has a number of extracurricular activities on offer to ensure children get to hop, wiggle, jump, kick, balance, dance, skip and never get bored while being active each day! ⛹♂️

  • Who decided paint n' sips were for the grownups? Our kindergarten little scholars have been finetuning their pre-writing skills by through art. 🎨 Drawing and painting are great ways for children to increase fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, pencil grip and even improving finger, hand, arm and shoulder strength! Our clever educators decided to host a paint n' sip (milk) for the children while they practiced drawing ladybugs!
