📐SDA Compliance ✔️ Our 3-bedroom home for sharing in Christies Beach (with separate villa for 1) has been given a tick of approval on SDA compliance items. Building partners Normus Urban Projects were on site with the SDA assessor BuildSurv, checking design features that make these homes accessible. All SDA homes need to comply with NDIS SDA requirements, as well as legislative requirements like building codes and standards. ✨ A glittering weekend✨ The Sana Living team had a huge weekend at 2 separate award nights in 2 states. ✨ Nick (pictured here in the lavender shirt with our team and other Sana Living tenants), nominated our Tenancy Team for the Excellence in Rights Promotion Award at the WA NDS Support Awards in Perth. ✨ At the Australian @hia_au Awards in Cairns, we were finalists in the Specialised Housing category, for our SDA home in Greenwood that won the Perth and WA HIA awards last year. 🌏♿️ It’s Global Accessibility Awareness Day. (GAAD) The purpose is to get everyone talking, thinking and learning about digital access and inclusion. There are 1 billion people worldwide living with disability. While disability accommodation with accessibility features throughout has improved thanks to SDA providers like us… digital accessibility is still behind. A recent report shows 98% of website homepages include at least one accessibility failure! In fantastic news, @apple announced new accessibility features including eye tracking. We are excited by developments like this, and can only imagine how developments like this will one day, be implemented into assistive technology for SDA homes. Recognising days like today are important for delivering greater inclusion and accessibility.
