During the opening we heard from National Tiles’ CEO, Campbell Stott, Texco Construction’s Director, Tom Bull and our General Manager of Victoria, Andrew Hanna. The event was also attended by members of the Bunurong Land Council Aboriginal Corporation who performed a special Cultural Ceremony. With more than 120 people in attendance, we heard from R U OK? Community Ambassador Stephen Dowling, who spoke about how to notice someone you know or care about is withdrawn or not themselves, how to genuinely ask ‘are you okay,’ where to refer to for help if required, and how these conversations can make a real difference. Frasers Property Limited's half year results show that Frasers Property Industrial's earnings are still strong, thanks to strategic land bank acquisitions, solid leasing activity and a focus on delivering high-quality assets. Key performance highlights as of 31 March 2024 include: - Total AUM S$11.5 billion (A$13.1 billion & EUR 7.9 billion) - Portfolio consists of 172 completed properties in five countries, with 4.5 million sqm of NLA (net lettable area) - A strategically positioned landbank of 3.0 million sqm - Maintained our pipeline with 14 assets under development totalling ~420,000 sqm. Reini Otter, Chief Executive Officer, Frasers Property Industrial said about the results: “Our earnings continue to be robust despite the volatility of macroeconomic events, due to our strong pipeline of developments and high quality portfolio. Wild weather, superb views and a special hiking adventure was on the agenda for 20 members of our team last week! To help support the Heart Foundation, we took part in Wild Women On Top's event Coastrek and completed 20km and 30km walks along Sydney’s iconic Northern Beaches. Our trekkers have managed to raise more than $10,000 for heart health so far including a donation from Frasers Property Foundation. We recently welcomed the Knauf Australia team to their new 6,547 sqm state-of-the-art storage distribution centre and 343 sqm office at Canvas West in Melbourne’s west. Built as a speculative development with specialised design requirements, the warehouse will support the business growth of the leading manufacturer of plasterboard, joint compounds, and metal framing in Australia. The opening of this facility was marked by a Cultural Ceremony performed by the Bunurong Land Council Aboriginal Corporation, along with speeches from Knauf Australia’s Regional General Manager, steven giles, and our Development Manager Dominic Meese. We’re passionate about sustainability and believe that creating a conversation about it is important to see a shift in our industry. Our Managing Director Europe, Alexander Heubes, recently spoke at the Ramp One event in Hamburg, Germany. In this panel discussion, he shared what sustainability certification means for the industry and the steps we can take to receive certification across new and existing facilities. He also spoke about our approach to sustainability to help the industrial and logistics industry create a more sustainable future. Sustainability is at the core of our flagship project in Germany, The Tube, and Alexander spoke to how we're targeting the first-ever Gold certification from the DGNB German Sustainable Building Council for a CO2-reduced and transparent demolition of an industrial site, as well as Platinum certification for the new development. 22,290 meals packed and ready to go! This week our Melbourne team took some time out of the office to volunteer with Foodbank Australia. During the day our team packed essential groceries, fruit and vegetables to be distributed to Australians who may be struggling. The team really enjoyed the opportunity to work together to contribute to a good cause. We’re excited to be able to support Primary Connect's customer Endeavour Group to supply more than 600 BWS, Dan Murphy's and ALH Hotels venues across Northern NSW and Far North Queensland from its new facility in Vantage Yatala in Queensland. This state-of-the-art 34,880sqm facility has been designed to drive warehouse and distribution efficiencies, with 33 roller shutter doors, an expansive 22m cantilevered awning, and significant inbuilt forklift and machine technology and programming, to enable seamless supply of products. Vantage Yatala is our first Premium Estate in Queensland and has been designed as a 65ha industrial and logistics estate with a focus on sustainability and wellbeing.
