The other day I was having a chat with Sheila and Jong, our Virtual Assistant support team (the ‘Love team’) about the training they were preparing for the Virtual Assistants around the ‘6 weird things about Australian business owners’. They were surprised when I shared with them that many of the business owners I speak to in the sales process were afraid (at least a little bit)… Unsure if they were good delegators. Taking big chances in their business and fearful that they might not pay off. Flying by the seat of their pants without good systems, feeling like their business is a house of cards. Not sure on the most effective way to market their business. Worried about releasing control. Until now Sheila and Jong saw the business owners as certain and fearless, they don’t see this soft underbelly. And I get it…we often don’t share our fears with the world. So I am here to share with you that most business owners are scared (to some degree at least). I know I am. Some days I am as cool as a cucumber and others I am like “Fu*k how did I get myself here?!” And I know I am not alone. Which is why we are going to include it in our training for the Virtual Assistants. Sometimes it helps for them to get a little perspective on what might be going on for us. To realise that we are human (and imperfect) too.

We have another fantastic client to feature this time, Max Dent. As you may know, Maureen and I hosted a party for business owners over a weekend last year.
