  • The KCBT team is delighted to announce a momentous occasion on 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 - 𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰. Our CEO, Mrs. Rohini Modgill, was honoured to be a distinguished panel member, sharing the stage with exceptional women, including Mansi Zaveri GAICD, Premila Jina, Sadhana Bose, and Asha Bhat OAM, all representing the Indian diaspora. At this noteworthy event, Mrs. Rohini Modgill was bestowed with a well-deserved award in recognition of her significant contributions to the field of education. The event, a celebration of International Women's Day #IWD2024, was graciously hosted by the 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮 and the 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹. Mr. Paritosh(Pari) Misra skillfully facilitated the panel discussion with both grace and professionalism. We were privileged to have the presence of Dr. Jags Krishnan, Honorable CGI Amarjeet Singh Takhi ji, and Councillor Cr Raj Doshi from the City of Perth, adding to the overall significance of the occasion. The key points discussed by panel members were: 𝟭. 𝗙𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: The journey of empowerment commences at home and begins at a young age. It is crucial to instill in girls the belief that they are inherently enough, emphasizing that external validation is not a prerequisite for their decisions. Encouraging them to harbour ambition and fearlessness is key to breaking through societal glass ceilings. 𝟮. 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹𝘀: The role of mentorship is paramount in nurturing growth, providing support, and creating a community where women mutually uplift each other to overcome obstacles. 𝟯. 𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗚𝗮𝗽: Achieving financial independence is indispensable for every woman's growth and recognition of her contributions. While commendable progress has been made in narrowing the pay gap over the last decade, with a decrease from 18% in 2014 to 12% in November 2023, there remains work to be done to completely bridge this divide.
