Investigating Electrical Challenges, Delivering Solutions! Recently, our team faced a challenging call from a client perplexed by recurrent issues, lights blowing, electronics failing across their properties. Upon delving into the electrical infrastructure, we discovered a common culprit: high voltage emanating from the substation, affecting multiple buildings. We swiftly deployed a power analyser, collecting crucial data that we promptly shared with the power authority. Collaborating closely, we identified a critical factor, the tap on the substation transformer was set too high, causing the widespread issues. Implementing a precise solution, we coordinated a meticulous 2:00 AM shutdown of MasonSQ's complex which has multiple buildings and three buildings in particular off the substation. Despite the complexity, the operation was executed flawlessly, minimizing disturbances for the apartment complex's residents. Kudos to our dedicated team for their expertise and efficiency in resolving this intricate electrical challenge. EDSA Group, a leading provider of electrical, data and communications, security, audio visual, and solar services, recently completed a design and construct project for a commercial electrical installation at Quest Watergardens Hotel in Taylors Lakes. The project involved a comprehensive installation of an electrical system that meets the needs of the hotel while providing guests with a safe and comfortable environment. As the project was a design and construct one, EDSA Group was responsible for both the design and construction phases of the project. This allowed for close collaboration with the developer, architect and builder resulting in a customized plan that met their specific needs and requirements of the 86 apartment’s. The project began with a comprehensive assessment to determine the requirements of services electrical, data and communications, security, audio visual, and solar. The assessment identified areas that required improvement, and a plan was developed in consultation with the developer and architect to ensure that the project met their specific needs and requirements. The installation involved the installation of new switchboards, cabling, and electrical distribution systems throughout the hotel, ensuring a reliable power supply to all areas of the hotel. The data and communication system installation involved the installation of fibre and structured cabling, Wi-Fi systems, and telecommunication systems throughout the hotel, enabling guests to enjoy a seamless and reliable connection to the internet and other communication services. The security system installation involved the installation of CCTV systems, Saflok access control systems, and alarm systems throughout the hotel. This provided guests with a secure and safe environment while protecting the hotel’s assets. The audio visual system installation involved the installation of audio and visual systems and hearing augmentation in conference rooms, event spaces, and other areas of the hotel, enhancing the hotel’s ability to host events and provide guests with a high-quality audio and visual experience. The solar system installation involved the installation of solar panels and related infrastructure, providing the hotel with a sustainable and cost-effective energy source while reducing reliance on the grid. EDSA Group delivered a high-quality installation that met the expectations of the hotel management and provided a long-lasting and sustainable solution for their energy needs. The project was completed on time and within budget, and the hotel management expressed their satisfaction with the results.
