When you walk through the doors at Little Scholars, your perception of early education and care will change forever.

About us

Little Scholars genuinely believes in making a difference and recognises the incredible opportunities we have with every child, every day. We were founded and are owned and managed by a qualified teacher with a genuine passion for children and the early years. Our first priority is the growth and development of your child; we nurture, teach and guide your child to developing all the skills that will allow them to succeed in life. It’s an approach that recognises how critical those first five years are for a child’s development, and ensures your child gets all the support they need to flourish during this time. We embrace everything from the natural environment to digital technologies as important educational tools, instilling a contemporary, sustainable and values-driven learning foundation in every curious little mind for whom we have the honour of caring. We strive to make lasting memories every day.

  • Our Little Scholars campuses celebrated Outdoor Classroom Day this week, though we must admit, it's not just one day for us! That's because each week our little scholars love getting out and about for bush, beach and pram kinder weekly, where they spend time exploring nature, hopping over logs, jumping in puddles, and learning about the world around them! 🌿

  • Little Scholars is proud to support Baby Give Back, a local volunteer-driven charity with a mission to give local children a safe start to life by providing essential items to families in crisis. Baby Give Back assisted 8,816 children in our community in 2023. Help us help more families by donating to the annual Giving Day 4 June, a day on which all donations will be tripled by the charity’s sponsors, including us. Give a little, change a LOT. • We adore all our campuses, but George Street is so special! Located in the heart of Brisbane, our campus is well positioned for our busy parents working in the city to be close to their little ones. 👨👧👦 🏙 When it comes to childcare in Brisbane, our campus has the largest indoor playground in the city, with double-storey play forts, water play, gardens and nature walks, vegetable and herb gardens and views 180-degree views of the cityscape, heaps of play spaces for children to explore, and explore they do! Both inside the campus and outside as they're steps away from from the city’s greatest sights, including the State Library of Queensland, the Queensland Museum, Roma Street Parkland, the Brisbane Botanical Gardens and more! The children are immersed in their local communities however when needed, the children can escape the hustle and bustle of the city and return to more calming environments. Our George Street campus offers an exclusive Parent Valet service, we assist with drop-off and pick-up so you might even have time for a coffee before work. See it for yourself! • Meet Jessica Connors, our newest Little Scholars campus manager! 👋 Jess, who says she’s excited to support and foster a community at Little Scholars Stapylton, has worked in early education for 13 years and counting, and is so passionate about early education she will soon graduate with her Bachelor of Early Education! She believes in supporting children to be lifelong learners, and work in partnership with families to allow children to become confident, capable human beings! She’s also very happy to lead the dedicated team who share her values and beliefs around early childhood education and care. Jess’s vast experience in mentoring and leading teams makes her the perfect addition to our Stapylton campus, which she already adores. “I loved Little Scholars Stapylton because it is unique, the style and studio configurations are one of a kind. It’s in a location that does remind me of home, surrounded by nature and wildlife.” She says her first few weeks with Little Scholars have been fantastic. "It's been a warm welcoming and amazing to get to know all the families and children and work alongside our 'Staples' team,” Jess says. “They've already told me I'm never ever leaving." “I'm committed to staying curious, innovative, and connected to the needs of our little learners and I’m excited to continue nurturing an environment, along with our wonderful educators, where every child feels valued, adored and ready to embrace the wonders of learning.”

  • You probably know by now how much our friends at Baby Give Back mean to us! We've been partnering with the charity for five years now, and we're so proud to be a part of of its community and jump at any chance to help. Recently, Baby Give Back hosted a volunteering session for 250 people as part of a large conference. This was a huge logistics exercise and resulted in the delegates packing 600 Safe Start Boxes and sorting a van load of clothing. Members of our management team from Little Scholars and The Scholars Group helped run the event and pack boxes! This #NationalVolunteerWeek, why don't you check out Baby Give Back's website to see how you can volunteer or give to such an incredible part of our local communities: https://lnkd.in/gi_CKT7y

  • Our little scholars from our Yatala campus recently had a drumming lesson from Carlos of Mama Africa Cultural Drumming show. Throughout the show, the children got a fantastic cultural lesson, as Carlos shared stories about his home in Africa before inviting the children to join him for song and dance. Drumming and dance hold profound cultural significance across Africa, serving as vital expressions of communal identity, history, and spirituality. These practices are deeply interwoven with daily life, marking significant events such as births, deaths, marriages, and harvests. They also serve as mediums for storytelling, passing down traditions and ancestral wisdom.

  • Our clever educators at Little Scholars are constantly looking for new and exciting ways for children to learn! These kindergarten children have been working on a project about healthy eating! 🥕 They went on a field trip to the supermarket to pick out their favourite fruits and veggies, and we're told they really enjoyed learning about their benefits for their bodies! Learn more about how our little scholars are exposed to healthy foods every day here: https://lnkd.in/gPxRwDk6
