Since the inception of Surface Active Foam Fractionation (#SAFF®) technology back in 2014, the team EPOC Enviro have worked tirelessly to demonstrate the effectiveness of this #PFAS remediation treatment in a variety of locations and waters around the world. Through its Surface Active Foam Fractionation (#SAFF®) technology, @ EPOC Enviro is immensely proud to be at the forefront of global efforts to permanently remove toxic #PFAS contaminants from the environment. What is PFAS? PFAS are a large group of synthetic chemicals that have been used in consumer products globally since the 1950’s. Their non-stick, water proof and stain resistant properties are used in products as diverse as cookware, clothing, outdoor equipment, carpet, personal care products and certain types of fire fighting foam. Why be concerned? At @ OPEC Systems, and our subsidiary @ EPOC Enviro, we take pride in advancing our cause of protecting and improving the environment. One aspect of this commitment that we have been undertaking for many years is our highly specialised UXO (Unexploded Ordnance) remediation service. Our Defence Services team, which is made up of a number of skilled ex-defence personnel, work at sites across Australia and the Pacific to successfully remediate sites with a UXO risk. Much of this work arises from legacy training exercises carried out by Australian and Allied forces during World War II. This site is a legacy UXO-affected location, containing artillery, mortar, and other projectiles.
